About the Author

I graduated from Georgetown High School in Georgetown, S.C. in 2009. I joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve in February 2010 and got out in July 2012; I was a lance corporal heavy equipment operator. I began my college career in January 2011 at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C. I eventually transferred to the College of Charleston, where I am currently enrolled, in August 2013. I am a senior communication major and was a member of the C of C chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America for three semesters.  I currently work as a server at Outback Steakhouse and as a cashier/textbook expert at University Books of Charleston. I have completed an internship with The Brandon Agency and with Clear Channel Media + Entertainment. My goal after graduation is to work in the television industry, preferably as a television writer. I am interested in communication and media studies, social media, and media production.
